King Street has no catchment. We welcome children from all over Cambridge.
Fees are £24 per session which should be paid half termly in advance by bank transfer or cheque. We ask that you register for a minimum of two sessions per week. We accept Early Years Funding and a variety of Childcare Vouchers. We can also accept a limited number of children who are eligible under the 'free twos' scheme.
You can complete the registration form on this website or pick one up from Pre-School. This should be returned to Paulina Canfer-Geller, Pre-School Manager, along with a non-refundable deposit of £40. All children need to be registered for a minimum of 2 sessions per week.
Whilst we are not a Local Authority Maintained nursery school, we follow the dates set out for admissions under the Cambridgeshire County Council Nursery Admissions Policy. These dates are noted on the Registration Form.
Yes, we have a rolling snack time so that the children can access their snack and drink when they prefer. Parents/carers are to provide the snack which should be kept to fruit, vegetables and dry snacks such as crackers or breadsticks, along with a filled water bottle. Please label snack pots and water bottles. Milk and additional water is of course available to the children as required.
As a minimum, they should bring a complete change of clothes (including underwear and socks), nappies (for those still wearing them), snack and drink. Each child has a peg to hang their bag but we ask that all belongings are taken home at the end of each session. During the Summer, please provide sunscreen and a hat.
Please let us know as soon as possible that you will be late. A late fee of £5 per five minutes will be charged.
We would encourage parents not to stay at school but to remain in the vicinity during those first sessions. We realise it can be difficult for everyone when a child starts pre-school but rest assured we will contact you immediately should there be any problems.
Please contact Paulina Canfer-Geller, Pre-School Manager (ideally by 10am), on 07742 376299. In accordance with current guidelines, we would ask that children do not return to re-school for 48 hours after the last instance of vomiting or diarrhoea. Unfortunately, we are not able to refund fees due to non-attendance.
